Many Faces of Mt. Fuji

So last Friday I taught my students how to paint Japan’s majestic Mt. Fuji in acrylics. I had a lot of fun and so did they. It shows too! I’m a bit bummed out that Cathy won’t be able to paint with me for the rest of the summer. I hope that she’ll return someday.  Here are our paintings in order:

1. Me
2. Quain
3. Cathy
4. Nhung

Forest Acrylic painting + my students’ work

I make art every week since I teach a workshop every Friday of the month. This forest painting was a joy to do so I decided it should be a lesson plan for my beginning Landscape workshop. It turned out that everyone was pretty content with their painting that I took a photo of my students’ finished pieces. These were done under three hours, so I am really happy how far each one of them got!

1. By Anna Lorraine (me)!
2. Lydia
3. Ernna
4. Debbie
5. Cathy

You guys done good, I’m so proud of you all :)

Robert Duck, I mean Hunt.

Hello guys! So I’ve been busy going out to lots of antique stores and most recently to an antique gun shop. I saw two ducks hanging up on the ceiling. Why was I reminded of the great illustrator, Robert Hunt? This inside joke about him being afraid of ducks compelled me to do a portrait of him alongside…well, a mallard duck! Just brushing up on my watercolors sans microns and I am pretty happy with the turnout. My friend Afu Chan also did a portrait of Robert Hunt. Enjoy!

Where am I?
